Andrew Ladd was a very bad signing by the Islanders. He hasn't delivered given money and term that he signed for. At the time many Jet fans were upset that Chevy didn't offer him more money to stay but now it looks like a great move. Now I wish Chevy had the same restraint when he signed Little for such a long term.

So Finger, Leino, and the 3rd "winner" doesn't even identify who the player is. I mean I've figured it out, but some readers wouldn't have any clue who the 3rd player is. Might have been nice for Ek to just list the 3 worst signings. Oh well.

Horton and Bickell seem a little unfair for “worst contracts”. Both players had pretty serious issues out of their control

This is a fairly easy one. The Dipietro deal is easily the worst contract of all time. Lousy goalie, $67.5 million, Islanders will be paying him $1.5 million until 2029. He sucked large

Frans Nielsen. 6 years. 5.25 mil AAV. 32 years old. 3rd line center who was apparently Datsyuk's replacement. A No movement clause too. A no production clause must've been included as well. Thanks Kenny.

Just look at the $$$ dedicated to a 30+ year old Islanders roster in a couple years time. Their 2021-2022 contracts include 36 year old andrew ladd in his 2nd last season at 5.5M AAV, 31 year old Eberle with 3 seasons at 5.5m AAV, 39 year old Johnny Boychuck with a 6M Cap hit, 34 year old Clutterbuck in his final year at 3.5M AAV, 36 year old Komorov in his final year at 3M AAV.

These guys aren't worth anywhere near that today, and I doubt these boys rejuvinate their careers. Poor Barzal has a very difficult choice to make this offseason. If he accepts any long term offers from another team, he faces the isles matching it and keeping him for the long haul.

I agree 100%. Little was nothing more than insurance, as the Jets depth at C is horrendous. But....Ladd actually refused to ink in WPG. Rumored that his nose could snort a snowbank, and his wife wasn't a fan of all the ladies he was hanging around with. So it was divorce or start over in a new city. Worked out great for the Jets.

Poor Barzal has a very difficult choice to make this offseason.

Poor Barzal is about to make generational wealth. Try not to lose sleep over it. He’ll be okay.

But yeah, I wouldn’t want to be an Isle for my career. At least NYC is your playground.

Ek, how do you miss on Turgeon and Bourne on the isles? I gave you a solid line up of the isles best stars and you never even wrote back an email. Hence why I think you don’t deserve real hockey fans. Let US help you make these teams because everything would have been different and fans may have actually visited your clickbait site.
